The Brief

A family home in Canvey Island had an ageing boiler that was becoming unreliable and inefficient. The homeowners wanted a modern, high-efficiency replacement that could lower their heating bills while providing reliable warmth and hot water. What We Did

Our work included:

• Removed the old boiler: Safely disconnected and removed the old unit, ensuring all gas and water connections were properly isolated before it was taken away for responsible disposal.
• Prepared the installation site: Checked the flue and gas inlet to confirm they were suitable for the new boiler, and made the adjustments needed for a proper fit.
• Ran new copper pipework: Fresh copper pipework was run in and connected to manufacturer specifications and British standards, with every joint tested for leaks.
• Installed the new Vaillant boiler: A modern high-efficiency unit with built-in condensing technology for maximum efficiency and lower running costs.
• Commissioned and tested: The boiler was filled, pressurised and thoroughly tested. All controls, thermostats and safety devices were verified to work correctly.
• Registered the warranty and handed over: The manufacturer warranty was registered on the homeowners' behalf, and they were shown how to operate the new boiler and adjust the settings.

The Result

A modern, reliable heating system that delivers consistent warmth and hot water. The Vaillant boiler has excellent efficiency ratings, helping to reduce the household's annual heating costs. The homeowners are confident in their new system and have a full manufacturer warranty of between 5 and 10 years, along with a Gas Safety record for the work.
