H.M.D Plumbing & Heating was started by Harry Duggan in 2021, after nine years working as an employed engineer. Harry runs the business himself and carries out every job personally, so you always deal directly with the person doing the work.

Yes. Harry is Gas Safe registered, which is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out gas work in the UK. He can show his Gas Safe ID card at any time, and keeps the registration current so all boiler and gas work meets the required safety standards.

We accept bank transfer, all major debit and credit cards, and cash. Payment is usually taken once the work is complete. For larger installations we are happy to talk through the arrangements with you beforehand.

The warranties range between 5 and 10 years depending on the brand and model of boiler you choose. We register the manufacturer warranty on your behalf and explain the exact terms before you commit, so you know what is covered.

Yes. We survey your existing system and talk through your options based on the size of your home, how much hot water you use and your budget. You will get honest advice on the right type and size of boiler, with no pressure to spend more than you need to.

A full service includes replacing the burner seals and gaskets, flushing through the burners, cleaning out the traps and recharging the expansion vessels, along with the safety checks needed to be sure your boiler is running safely and efficiently. We let you know if anything else needs attention before doing any further work.

An annual boiler service costs between £90 and £200 depending on the make and model of your boiler. We confirm the exact price when you book, with no hidden extras.

We recommend having your boiler serviced once a year. A yearly service keeps it running safely and efficiently, helps catch small problems before they become big ones, and is usually needed to keep your manufacturer warranty valid. Autumn is a popular time to book, ready for winter.
